Garrett joined ICI in 2015 to help oversee the expansion of two new facilities and grow the company while helping managing day-to-day production.

Prior to joining ICI, Garrett spent his youth in various trades and worked for several well-known environmental planning firms in the Bay Area on a wide variety of utility, state and federal agency projects. More recently, Garrett owned and operated a commercial and public-works construction company then became interested in building solar projects. Transitioning to a solar engineering firm then to a large electrical contractor specializing in solar construction, he managed several utility scale solar projects including full 69kV substations on 5-40MW projects.

Garrett’s education includes a Ph. D. from the University of California at Davis where he studied ecology in the Lake Tahoe Basin, an MS in natural resource science from Humboldt State University with a thesis related to public land management, and a BA from CSUEB in environmental studies.
